NEIGHBOURHOOD
The neighbourhood consists of 61 cottages, each with its private parking. Cottage 58 is marked with a small cross on the Neighbourhood tactile map.
The main camping services that can be reached from the Neighbourhood include the accessible BEACH [the dotted area in both tactile maps], the “MARINO” RESTAURANT and “ADRIATICO” RESTAURANT AND PUB, both offering delivery services [Tactile map of the Neighbourhood: letter “R” in a square], the WELLNESS CENTER & SPA [large-print letter “W” in a square], AQUA PARK MARINO [diagonally-striped surface], the AMPHITHEATER [raised solid semicircle], and, along Via Venezia, the BAKERY, mini MARKET, BAZAAR, LAUNDRY, and BIKE RENTAL [represented by the letters “P”, “M”, “Z”, “L”, “B”, respectively]. Details about specific services are relayed in the Camping directory.
[All directions reference the Camping tactile map]
From the RECEPTION [large dot, black on red background], move along the sidewalk towards the camping, passing the turnstile. To your right, about 20 meters away, is a metal net surrounding the FUNNY WORLD ADVENTURE PARK. Walk under the portico and past an ARCADE [raised solid rectangle, black on orange background]. Mind the benches on your right. After 30 meters, cross a pedestrian crossing on Via Milano. Caution: there are no steps marking the end of the sidewalk.
Once across the road, to your left you should hear the sound of the fountain that signals the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Watch out for some metal posts and the tables of BAR CARIOCA CAFÈ. You may choose to keep walking along the corridor or go back under the portico to our right [the portico is represented by the comb-like lines on the left side of the larger raised rectangle, black on orange background].
Under the portico and past the bar, you will find the windows of the TOURIST MARKET shop. After the supermarket entrance, move to the left and leave the portico. Be mindful of the pine tree that might be an obstacle. Keep going straight, paying attention to the CANTINETTA LISPIDA outdoor seating, with high stools and barrels. Cross a pedestrian road [short horizontal dotted line] that, on our right, would lead to the COCKTAIL KIOSK and other points of interest, and continue beyond it. Once past the road, to your right, you’ll encounter a low wall decorated with plants that marks the entrance to the INFOPOINT, accessible by climbing the steps on the right [raised black rectangle on orange background].
The wall also marks the end of the pedestrian area. Watch out for cars and posts. Continue straight, paying attention to traffic. There are no pedestrian crossings here. Crossing Via Venezia, which would continue to the right with its shops, you’ll meet a tall nerium hedge, interspersed with pines, fencing an pitch for campers and trailers. Keep going straight for about 60 meters, paying attention to the driveways interrupting the hedge for cars to access the area. Walk straight until the hedge is interrupted by another driveway: Via Roma.
Turn right and proceed carefully, always following the intermittent hedge (interrupted halfway by public toilet no. 3) on your right. After about 300 meters, when the gaps in the hedge begin to narrow (no more than a meter and a half, after being two or three meters), you will have passed the pitches and will be in front of your brick cottage neighbourhood (FAMILY HOME LIDO).
Here, pay attention to a second-to-last driveway, after which you only need to continue for another hundred meters (midway, you’ll find a pond interrupting the hedge and, at that point, there is the last driveway), and locate the last opening before the next road (via Trento): it marks the entrance to your housing unit [raised black cross on a red circle].
Lodging unit no. 58 is located in a corner of the neighbourhood, at the intersection of Via Roma and Via Trento [marked by a cross on both the Neighbourhood Camping maps]. The cottage has two entrances, a front one and a rear one.
All directions in this document are based on the front entrance. The cottage consists of a front porch, a living area with an open kitchen, two bedrooms (one triple and one double), and two bathrooms: the first with a shower and sink, the second with sanitary facilities and a sink.
All these rooms are connected by a central corridor. All the following directions reference the Lodging Unit tactile map.
The cottage is surrounded by a tall hedge: to access the porch, locate the passage between two maritime pines and climb two steps.
On the right, there is a table with four chairs. On the left, against the wall, you’ll find a broom and a mop for cleaning. The shutters of two windows open outward onto the porch: the left one for the triple room, and the right one for the living room with kitchen.
Between the entrance door [dotted line] and the right window [thin line parallel to the wall], at the bottom, there is an electrical outlet with a protective cover.
Watch out for the step at the threshold. Upon entering, immediately to our right, there is a three-seater sofa; then, moving counterclockwise, the wall where the TV is hung; finally, the wall where the kitchen is fitted. In the middle, there is a round table with four chairs.
On the left side, along the corridor, you’ll find the entrance door to the triple room, then a storage space with a built-in oven [dotted area with a solid black rectangle in the middle], and next to it, the fridge.
– First and second modules
On the countertop: workspace and induction hob; below: cutlery drawer and large compartment for larger pots; above: push latch cabinets and retractable hood.
– Third module
On the countertop: workspace and draining rack; below: dishwasher; above: cupboard.
– Fourth module
On the countertop: sink; below: compartment for garbage bins, broom, and dustpan; above: cabinet with draining rack.
– On the corridor side, there is a wall-mounted cabinet with an eye level oven, about a meter high. To the right is the fridge, with the freezer compartment located at the top.
[Tactile map: switches are dots and electrical outlets are short perpendicular lines, both protruding from the walls] in this area are located as follows:
• just past the entrance, immediately to the right before the sofa;
• about halfway along the TV wall at the bottom (only electrical outlet);
• near the sink, on the right side, about 70 cm from the ground.
Going down the corridor, it is the first door on the left. Upon entering, we immediately find, to our left, the built-in wardrobe [rectangle with dotted texture], which lies behind a sliding curtain. Moving it aside we find, from bottom to top, a convenient chest of drawers on the left side, a clothes hanger rod with various hangers, and finally two large shelves in the upper area.
Continuing the exploration clockwise, we find the wall with the window on the porch, then a nightstand and headboard for the first single bed. Above the nightstand there are switches and outlets. On the opposite wall, we find the bunk bed, with two single beds each with its own shelf near the pillow, switches, and wall-mounted bedside lamps. Caution: there’s a ladder that could be an obstacle approximately in the middle of the room.
The switches and electrical outlets in this room are located near the three nightstands or shelves. There is also a switch immediately to the left of the entrance door.
Continuing along the corridor and past the oven and refrigerator, to our left we find the entrance to the double bedroom. Moving clockwise from the wall to our left, we find the wardrobe, also behind with a curtain, with a chest of drawers on the left and a safe on top of it.
Moving towards the adjacent wall, we find the first nightstand in the form of a shelf with related outlets and switches, the wall-mounted bedside lamp, and then the double bed. Next is the second nightstand, mirroring the first, then the wall with the window opening onto the back of the cottage, behind a sliding curtain.
The switches and electrical outlets in this room are located near the two nightstands. There is also a switch immediately to the right of the entrance door.
Leaving the double bedroom, continue to the left until the end of the corridor. Here is the rear entrance to the unit.
Next to it we find the entrance to the first bathroom, whose fittings are arranged as follows: immediately to the left, there is a towel rack, then a large sink with a mirror, to its right a German-type power outlet. On the same wall, but higher, a small window. Below, a metal hook for toilet paper. On the next wall, we find the sanitary fixtures, first the toilet and then the bidet, with a wall-mounted towel rack.
The electrical outlets in the room are to the right of the mirror (German-type) and, in the corridor, to the left of the entrance. The latter is also accompanied by switches.
Entering from the corridor, the sink is to the right, with the towel rack below the countertop while, at the far end of the room, there is a built-in shower, half-closed by a sliding door. Stepping onto the shower tray, the temperature knob is embedded in the wall in front of us, while the showerhead is on the right. In the inner corner is a shelf for soaps and other products.
A switch and a German-type outlet are on the wall to the right of the sink. Another switch is on the corridor wall, to the right of the entrance to BATHROOM #2.
WARNING! The following sentences should be considered as support for autonomous use. They do not intend nor can they replace careful reading of instructions and safety warnings.
The microwave oven has six buttons (from left to right and from top to bottom, we will name them A, B, then C, D followed by E, F), a knob, and a rectangular pressure button.
The functions of the buttons are as follows:
• A = power level
• B = convection
• C = defrost / time
• D = stop / clear
• E = clock
• F = start / confirm / +30 seconds
Each press of these buttons triggers a beep.
• KNOB = time / menu navigation. The notch on the knob marks the cursor. If the notch is at 12 o’clock, the knob is in the starting position.
• RECTANGULAR BUTTON for opening the door.
Classic cooking mode
To reheat or cook a dish, open the door, place the product inside a microwave-compatible container, then:
• Check that the knob is at 12 o’clock.
• For safety, press button D (Clear) to clear any accidental selections.
• Set the power by pressing button A. The power decreases with each click: 1 click = 100% power; 2 clicks = 80% power; 3 clicks = 50% power; 4 clicks = 10% power.
• Confirm the power pressing button F (Confirm) once.
• Set the cooking time using the knob. Turning the knob clockwise, each click (barely perceptible) increases the cooking time by 5 seconds, up to the completion of the first half-turn (the notch is at 6 o’clock, and the set time is 1 minute). From this point on, each notch increases the timer by 10 seconds: the notch at 9 o’clock is 2 minutes, and the complete turn sets the timer to 3 minutes.
• The second complete turn brings the timer to 10-11 minutes. The clicks of the third turn add 1 minute each, those of the fourth turn 5 minutes each. The maximum time is 95 minutes.
Caution: the knob sensitivity varies, so some clicks may not be registered.
Consistently, if you turn the knob counterclockwise, you decrease the duration by 5 minutes / 1 minute / 30 seconds / 10 seconds / 5 seconds, depending on the total time set.
– Confirm the time with a click on button F (Confirm). The microwave activates. When it is done cooking, the oven emits a series of beeps. Press the rectangular button to open the door and retrieve the hot dish.
– Make sure to close the door.
If you want to stop cooking, press button D (Stop).
QUICK START mode
To cook a dish at maximum power, you can choose the QUICK START function.
– Once the food is inside the oven, press button F (+30 seconds): without further action, the microwave starts.
– To increase the cooking time by another 30 seconds, simply press button F again. Each press is accompanied by a beep.
Caution: do not use this function for defrosting or during pre-set programs with multiple cooking modes.
Once the power button is pressed, the TV takes 10/15 seconds to activate, turning on the last channel viewed. The power button on the remote control is the first one at the top right. It is followed by a row of function keys, like narrow bars, then the number pad, where number 5 presents a raised dot. Number 0 is central, to its left is the AD button, and to its right is the ATV (Analog TV)/DTV (Digital TV) button.
If you press button 1, the TV turns on with a promotional video of Union Lido. To get to RAI 1, press button 3 or continue with the program sequence.
Continuing down the remote control, we then encounter two double buttons, in the form of vertical rectangles, which adjust the volume (on the left) and the program sequence (on the right). The three buttons positioned between these two are, from top to bottom: an image format button, the MUTE button and the QUICK button.
The other buttons on the remote control are used less often.
Opening the dishwasher, from left to right along the door’s edge you will find a flat rectangular button (Power), a first long and thin button (Half-load), and then a second long and thin button (Program Selection).
The programs, in pressing order, are:
• Intensive 70°
• Normal 65°
• 30 minutes 65°
• Eco-bio 50°
• Soak
To start a cleaning program, turn on the appliance, insert the detergent in its internal compartment, then press the Program Selection button until reaching the desired program and close the dishwasher. Once finished, the appliance will emit an acoustic signal. Turn off the appliance.
The indoor air conditioning unit, which also has a heating function, is located at the end of the corridor, above the rear door. The remote control has a large main orange button, market by a raised dot, which is the power button (ON/OFF). Once pressed, the air conditioner will emit a short beep and set the room temperature to 24° (preset temperature).
If you want to change the temperature, press the two middle buttons below the main one. They are triangular in shape: the upper button raises the temperature, the lower one lowers it. They are highlighted in yellow in the diagram. To turn off the air conditioner, press the button with the raised dot again.
The safe lock opens with a key that you will be given at check-in.
